A Spring Silk Mill Wedding

Photographing Luke and Rachel’s Silk Mill Wedding was an absolute honor. I (Kate) have known Rachel’s parents for over 20 years, dating back to when they moved to Kijabe, Kenya to work at Rift Valley Academy. Growing up in Kijabe, I was lucky enough to meet so many incredible people, and I am so grateful to have crossed paths with the Wagners. Fast forward to today, I was beyond thrilled when Rachel reached out to ask if I could capture her wedding day. It felt like a full-circle moment, being part of such a beautiful celebration with people from my past.

A Love Story that Began in Kenya

Luke and Rachel’s love story goes way back to when they were just 8 years old, living in Kenya. Fast forward to April 8, when they said “I do” in Lancaster, PA, creating a brand new chapter together. The day was filled with so much joy and love, and I couldn’t have been more excited to be part of it.

A Dreamy Start to a Beautiful Day

Although the weather started out a bit dreary, the moment we pulled up to Ephrata Township Park for the first look, the day turned into an absolute dream. Luke and Rachel’s first look was so emotional, and we captured some stunning photos of the couple and their bridal party. Afterward, they exchanged vows at Oasis Mennonite Fellowship, surrounded by family and friends who witnessed their love and commitment.

Celebrating at the Silk Mill

The celebration continued upstairs at the Silk Mill Wedding venue, where the couple and their guests enjoyed delicious food, heartfelt fellowship, and lots of dancing. It was the perfect way to end a perfect day.
